Project Description

In this project, MEMS piezoelectrictechnology is proposed to be used in the design and development of a miniature speaker that is suitable for mass production and has a small size and low power consumption. The speaker needs to be suitable for applications such as true wireless stereoearphones (TWS). Piezoelectric materials are used to create micro-structures for this speaker. Driven by a voltage, it can deform the micro-structure to be built to vibrate in order to push the air to vibrate and thus radiate sound outwards. In this topic, the properties of the piezoelectric material, the acoustic and mechanical structure design, the drive circuit, the simulation design methods, the construction of test and evaluation system, etc. need to be investigated.

Ping Zhang received the PhD from Nanyang Nanyang Technological University (NTU),Singapore in year 2005. Dr. Zhang has 10+ years’ experience on incubating the high-tech ideas.

He has serviced more than 40 start-up teams when he worked for the Suzhou Industrial Parklocal government and several of them have made successful IPOs. Dr. Ping's research interestsare MEMS, especially the actuator related topics

Gang Li received the PhD from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).Dr. Li was the founder and CEO of Suzhou Minxin Microelectronics Technology Co.Ltd. Dr.Li enjoys a high reputation in the field of MEMS. He is not only the core inventor ofhundreds of MEMS patents, but also led the team to successfully market a number ofsensor products such as microphone sensors, pressure sensors and accelerationsensors.
